Us Hinchliffe's love a party and when planning our wedding we soon decided to grass down a field and host it on the farm. Now we'd like to let you do the same! So our 12 acre field at Slade Hooton is available to rent for you to 'field your own' event to your own standards with as much or little input from us as you desire!
There's so much fun to be had outdoors... whether looking for a team building session finishing with dinner and drinks or hosting a hog roast and live band to finish off the event! Take it old school with egg and spoon or sack race or bring in the eductional aspect with demonstrations and talks. Our field hire is the perfect space.
This 12 acre field includes easy access, space for parking, beautiful views towards Roche Abbey, and camping if desired. There is cold running water available and we have a high capacity generator available for hire if required. We can provide a list of suppliers who we have used for events in the past.
We all know cost is the main driver and we want to give you upfront charges so you can plan accordingly. Our hire prices start from £500 a day. A £250 additional refundable deposit is required to cover costs of any rubbish left behind or damages. Assuming all T&Cs are adhered to over the hire period, this deposit will be returned within one week of the final hire date.
Therefore a wedding with a day prior set-up and day after tidy-up would be £1500, a hire period Thurs-Mon inclusive would be £2500. Additional days can be negotiated.
The field is a blank canvas for your use. You will need to hire toilets and a possibly a generator. We can provide generator hire or are happy for you to source your own.
We can also provide a few additional items to assist your day and decorate the venue. This includes a selection of quality glasses, water bottles and kilner jars for sweets. Larger items such as catering tables with black tablecloths, barrels or cable reels (as poseur tables) can also be hired. Yes - we are very happy for you to camp and there is no additional charge for this when booking field hire for an event. We just politely request that you let us know that it is your intention for people to camp.
Unfortunately we have had a few people need to access the field a day or two before their booking to set up marquees / glamping etc. As we are only allowed temporary events, our licensing has to fall within a total number of days per year. We carefully make sure that our bookings do not exceed our allowance otherwise future events for that year would be compromised. The council keep a close check of what we are doing! It is therefore vital that you book enough days for the set-up and take-down of your event in addition to the actual event days. If you ask for additional days within a month of your event dates it may not be possible to grant access; even at additional cost.
Unfortunately our farm sheds are all very much use as we are an active working farm. This means that there's a high chance of seeing a tractor in the yard but sadly we can't guarantee an empty barn to use instead.

Thomas and his team were outstanding. Rather than a traditional menu to pick from, they have an innovative questionnaire to fill in - noting places travelled, favourite foods, dislikes, admired chefs and much, much more! They then arrange a meeting at their tasting kitchen near Leicester to thrash out ides and formulate a completely unique menu within your price budget. Nearer the event date, you can pay a little extra to pre-taste the meal exactly as it will be served on your special day. As a retired rugby player diversifying into high end jewellery commissions is probably not the career progression you would predict. But Chris Hallam has done just that, carving out a niche for himself from his base in Kelham Island. The Hammerheads are a local Doncaster band who deliver punchy rock tunes with a powerful female vocalist. Certainly floor fillers... this four piece band will get everyone up dancing. You won't want the party to end. Contact Tim Eliot on 07773 378462.
Mark is a phenomenal saxophonist who brings the Ibiza soundtrack to life, having pioneered the sax over house music vibe. As the style grew in Ibiza, Mark was playing at Cafe Mambo most nights. Mark has played alongside many big names such as Groove Armada and Judge Jules and has even played for our late Queen at Buckingham Palace! Georgie sings at a lot of weddings in the local area and having experienced her singing live on several occasions we are delighted to have her booked for a party later this year.
